Who is writing this

25 years finding buyers
with data.

I began my career inside this industry — District Director for Santa Clara County at ZipRealty, one of the first data-driven brokerages, then Director of Executive Services at First American Title, building the white-glove division that served the East Bay’s top 50 agents. From there I spent two decades as a Chief Revenue Officer, President, and VP of Sales — building revenue organizations from zero four times, and learning at Quantcast how to put the right message in front of the right buyer for Fortune 500 brands.

I am now completing California real estate licensing and will open my practice in Napa and Sonoma in October 2026. Until then, the Index is the work — published quarterly, free, and built on the belief that the biggest decision of your life should be your best-informed one.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to mattmorea.com, operated by Morea Strategic Ventures, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Matt Morea”). Contact us at matt@mattmorea.com or (858) 539-9400.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit a form — requesting the Wine Country Index, a valuation, a home search, or simply sending a note — we collect the name, email address, phone number, property address, timeline, and any message you provide.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and time on site. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, including HubSpot’s analytics and tracking cookies, which help us understand how the site is used and connect a later enquiry to an earlier visit.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry; to deliver the Wine Country Index and market updates you asked for; to prepare a valuation, search, or market analysis you requested; to improve the site; and to meet legal, regulatory, and real estate record-keeping obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

Service providers who operate this business on our behalf — our CRM and email platform (HubSpot), website hosting, and, where a transaction is underway, the supervising brokerage, transaction coordinators, title and escrow, lenders, and insurance brokers as needed to advance your matter. Each is bound to use the information only to provide those services. We also disclose information where required by law or to protect legal rights.

Email and text messages

If you opt in, we may contact you by email, phone, or SMS about your enquiry and send periodic market updates. Message and data rates may apply. You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message, reply STOP to any text to stop messages, or email us directly. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an active matter.

Your California privacy rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request a copy of it; to request deletion; to request correction; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. To exercise a right, email matt@mattmorea.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes the law requires. You may designate an authorized agent to act for you.

Retention, security, and children

We keep personal information for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy legal and real estate record-keeping requirements, then delete or de-identify it. We use commercially reasonable safeguards, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Cookie choices and Do Not Track

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when they are sent; parts of the site may not function as intended if you do. This site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals, as no common standard has been adopted.

Third-party links and changes

Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We may update this policy, and material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.

Fair housing

We are committed to the letter and spirit of United States policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, ancestry, source of income, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
